Human flight Athlete, Alexander Polli, blasts into the New Year. He’s hoping to give his fans some festive eye candy. Proximity flying in Spain, his target is a 2×1 meter ’2013′ sign, just 2 meters off the ground. His first attempt hits the sign ½ meter from the bullseye . The second is bang on. He demolishes the sign, his hands passing inches away from the supporting poles. Turbulence rips through the vegetation, his feet thunder past just a meter above the cameraman’s head. Proximity flying this close to the ground leaves no room for error. It takes precision, dedication and commitment, not to mention a psychological battle. Alexander Polli raises the bar in what seems possible in human flight.
